Ground Water
Groundwater monitoring wells associated with landfills (active or inactive), Underground Storage Tank removal, and remediation projects are required to monitor groundwater at various points in regular intervals as directed by certain state and federal regulatory agencies.
At Bio-Chem Testing, we collect and analyze monitoring well and leachate samples as required by these agencies. We also furnish the reports on the necessary forms to the clients and, on request, can submit reports directly to the regulatory agencies themselves.
We exercise rigid sampling protocol to ensure that samples and data collected in the field will be fully defensible. Before and after sampling, all sampling equipment is decontaminated. An equipment blank is then collected to verify the absence of cross contamination. Samples are randomly collected in duplicate at a frequency of 10%. Teflon bailers are used to collect samples for organic analyses. Proper chains of custody are filled out in the field with preservatives added to the samples. Samples that require parameters of limiting holding time are analyzed in the field and properly recorded. Samples are then chilled and transported to the laboratory for further analyses.
